Leadership Development
Since there is an ongoing need for Rotarians prepared to fill
District leadership roles, a new District Leadership Training
Academy has been established. The program is a self-paced correspondence
course ending with a half-day training assembly followed by a
graduation luncheon at the District Conference.
Email Lessons
Each lesson will consist of about 20 to 60 questions. The
completed lesson will be returned for grading. After a lesson has
been returned and graded, the student will receive a link to the
next lesson. Rotarians who
satisfactorily complete the course will receive a certificate at the
graduation ceremony.
Course Design
The course is designed to provide information about Rotary and
the Rotary Foundation on the local, District, Zone and International
levels. It will also help future Club and District 6060 leaders have a better
understanding of where to find answers about Rotary activities.
Participant Requirements
Participants can be current, future or past Club officers who are
Rotarians in good standing. Participants in the program may be
nominated by Club Presidents, Assistant Governors, the District
Governor and Past District Governors. Club Presidents are encouraged
to promote the program to club members who are, or may be interested
in future Club and District leadership positions as officers or chairs.
Club Presidents - District Officers -
Are encouraged to seek potential future leaders and
promote their enrollment and participation until completion of this
new course.
