This matching grant project was developed between two Rotary clubs that have partnered on projects before. The Rotary Club of Bangalore Basaveswaranagar, Karnataka, India in District 3190 and the Rotary Club of St. Peters, Missouri, USA, District 6060 partnered on Matching Grant 17368 a few years ago.This project will fund the purchase of over 6,000 books, along with desks, necessary shelving and display cases which will completely furnish four school libraries.These are schools that have never had library books available for their students in the past. |

The Rotary Foundation will provide just over US $12,000 to fund this project. Along with 6,616 books, there will be 40 desks, 16 books shelves, and 8 display cases, so the partners are making these dollars stretch a long way.Over 2,000 students each year will be receiving the benefit of these new furnishings and books. |
