Matching Grant # 59762 - Rotary District 4400 - Ecuador 
Clean water and toilets for rural schools

This project funded the installation of two water wells and toilets for two remote rural schools, up in the mountains of Ecuador.

Also we funded the installation of chlorination systems for the 10,000 inhabitants of Salasaca and Benítez, so their unsafe water would be safe to drink.

The Rotary Club of Ambato Cosmopolita teamed up with the Rotary Club of Crestwood/Sunset Hills on this matching grant. Additional funding was provided by eastern Illinois Rotary District 6490 and eastern Missouri District 6060.

This project used over $15,000 of Rotary Foundation donations.

Project status: approved, funded, and complete.
