Community Assistance Program Grants

Our latest CAP Grant - computers for school in Sophia, Bulgaria

Our third CAP Grant - Dictionary Project

In 2003, the Rotary Club of Overland applied for a Community Assistance Program grant from Rotary District 6060. We were assisted on the project by the Rotary Club of Islamabad (Capital area), Pakistan.  This project provided dictionaries for each third grader in the Ritenour School system as well as all private schools in our region.

Overland Rotary has continued this project every year since.

Our second CAP Grant - YMCA equipment

The Overland Rotary Club partnered with the Lambert Airport Rotary Club in a Community Assistance Program grant to purchase two pieces of swimming pool equipment for the North County YMCA branch located on Lackland Road in Overland.

Club President Jill Walker is cutting the ribbon with Lambert Rotarians Fletcher Wells (L.) and Jeannette Mix (R.) on a set of large stairs that make getting in and out of the pool much easier for the elderly and handicapped.  Also a new lifeguard stand was purchased with the grant.

Our first Community Assistance Program Grant

The Rotary Club of Overland received a grant from The Rotary Foundation to purchase two pieces of playground equipment for the Early Childhood Center of the Ritenour School District. These pieces of equipment were dedicated on Nov. 28, 2001.
