Marx to the Rotary Skyway Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation established by the Rotary Club of St Louis "to provide and financially support a charitable, benevolent, educational and recreational facility for the people of our community including the underprivileged, disabled, gifted and elderly."Building on this mission, the Club has invested a great deal of time and money, along with several St. Louis foundations, individuals and companies in the preservation, renovation and upgrading of the grounds, equipment and facilities, and operates a program involving between 2,000 and 2,500 youth annually in a rare camping experience. What They're Saying About Skyway...."There is no other place equipped to handle the special needs of our special children." - Arthritis Foundation"The vast majority of our youngsters have never been to a summer camp...thanks for helping us build brighter futures for today's inner-city youth." - Lift for Life"A new and positive experience like Skyway Farm assists us in attempting to broaden our children's horizons and give them some personal fulfillment in ways foreign to them." - Evangelical Children's Home"The families of our children do not have the means to provide outdoor opportunities. It is important that we have available to us a facility like Skyway Farm as part of our youth program." - Kingdom House
