Washrooms for a school in Pakistan

Zamarud Shah, a Rotary friend from Peshawar, Pakistan emailed us in early October 2007 telling us, " I'm running a few schools after retirement. The Dosti School, in particular, has one washroom that serves all of the staff and the 132 students. We need two more washrooms and an overhead water tank for a total cost of $630......  The teachers often lock the washroom, only allowing the students to use it once a day. There is great need."

The board of directors of the Overland Rotary Club discussed the issue and were unanimous in approving the contribution of the funds, which were wired to the project account in Pakistan. By November 1, we received photographs of the completed project.
