Peanut Butter Saves Lives...........
Dr. Patricia Wolff uses peanut butter to save thousands of Haitian children from brain damage and death. She is a St. Louis pediatrician who has been working in Haiti for over eight years. She founded the non-profit "Meds & Foods for Kids" (MFK) to address the critical Haitian problem of malnutrition in infants. Associated with Doctors without Borders, MFK employs Haitians to produce the product, MFK works with Haitian farmers to grow the peanuts for the infant life-saving formula, and MFK distributes the peanut butter formula to malnourished children through local clinics. MFK rescues thousands of infants annually and builds capacity for local Haitian sustainability, which is vital for the future of Haiti. Dr. Wolff shows an eight minute video, speaks about her work with Haitian children, and answers questions.
