District Governor Elect Jerry Weems comes from a family rich in Rotary tradition.  Jerry began his active involvement in Rotary in 1980 at the invitation of his father (Mel), a past president in the Bonne Terre Club who also had 49 years of perfect attendance.  Jerry’s wife Susan is a former Rotarian and she and their son Josh are Paul Harris Fellows.  Jerry’s brother Roger was District Governor in 1985-86 and his niece Beth is a former Rotarian.  Jerry has belonged to four Rotary clubs and served in several offices, including two separate terms as President (1998-2000 and 2005-06) for the St. Francois County Club and was honored as Rotarian of The Year 2004-05.  Jerry is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.    Jerry graduated from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts and is a Financial Representative with COUNTRY Financial, having spent the past 24 years in the financial services field.  Jerry is highly involved with community activities and was honored as the first Ambassador of the Year with the Farmington Chamber of Commerce (2005), where he currently serves as a board member.  He is also past president of United Way of St. Francois County and has served on the Friends of Scouting Steering Committee.  Email Jerry at jerry.weems@gmail.com
