 Matching Grant #54402
Water Storage Tank
Pimienta, Honduras

This project was developed between the Rotary Club of Usula, Honduras and Rotary Club of Washington, Missouri following up after a previous Matching Grant in the 2003-2004 Rotary year to replace 75% of the water supply lines in the village of Pimienta, Honduras.

The town has improved from having unsafe water every few days to now having clean water for 2-3 hours a day.  With the addition of a storage tank, there will be clean running water all day long.

Washington Missouri Rotarians Jackie Miller and Curt Holzem present their club banner to the club president of the Rotary Club of Usula, Honduras. Usula Rotarians co-sponsored the project to replace the water lines in neighboring Pimienta, Honduras.
