Ear Surgeries

This project was developed between the Rotary Club of Guntakal in India, D3160 and D6060 in Eastern Missouri.
In this region of India, among the poorest of residents, many children have untreated ear infections that cause nerve and bone destruction, leading to partial or profound deafness. |

| By administering some inexpensive antibiotics, or perhaps by placing "tubes" in their ears, these children's infections can be controlled and eliminated before deafness occurs. |

|
|
The local Medical Association has teamed up with the RC of Guntakal to identify children with chronic untreated ear infections. The doctors donate their services, and medicines and other consumable supplies are purchased via a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant. |
| Our project will help 1,000 children be cured of their ear infections. |
