Our district took part in a Group Study Exchange with District 4640 in Brazil in the 2000-2001 Rotary year. 

The  Brazilian team leader, Edgar Behne, brought a Matching  Grant proposal from his home club to fund a computer lab in a school that his  Rotary club has begun and funded.

This grant was applied for in the fall of 2001,  the  grant was approved in the winter and funded in the spring of 2002.

We have just received these photographs taken at the dedication ceremony of the new computer lab.  The  final report has been submitted and approved. 

Coincidentally, Brazilian GSE Team Leader Edgar Behne's daughter, Amanda, is now a Rotary Youth Exchange student hosted by the Rotary Club of Jackson, Missouri.
