The Rotary Volunteers Program is the embodiment of Rotary's ideal of "Service Above Self." It provides opportunities for Rotarians and other skilled professionals to offer their services and expertise to local, national and international projects in need of assistance.Rotary International does not assign or place volunteers in projects. Rather, it serves as a clearinghouse — an information network — on volunteers and Rotary-sponsored project sites. All contact and arrangements for terms of volunteer service must be made directly between the volunteers and project contacts. In years past, Rotarians had to be available for a four week stay to qualify as a Rotary Volunteer. As of July 1, 2003, you can go and work on a project for as little as 5 days. You can also apply for an Individual Grant to help reimburse some of your travel expenses, based upon how many days of service you are able to give.First step is to register as a Rotary Volunteer. Complete this form and get it to Foundation Chairman Todd Lindley.
