6060 Volunteer Corps Builds Homes and Hope in Biloxi |
![]()
In May, 2007, nine members of the newly-formed Volunteer Corps traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi to work on rebuilding homes for Katrina victims there. We spent a week as the guests of the First Presbyterian Church, with support also provided by the Rotary Club of Biloxi. |
|
While there, we worked to rebuild two homes that had been nearly destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. One home, owned by brothers Fred and Jeremiah, was almost completed as we left, after a week of installing insulation and sheet rock, mudding, taping, and sanding by our enthusiastic volunteers. |
