Jerry Weems

Governor, 2009-2010

District Governor Nominee Jerry Weems comes from a family rich in Rotary tradition.  He began his career in Rotary in 1980 at the invitation of his father, a Rotarian with perfect attendance for 46 years in the Bonne Terre Rotary Club.  Jerry’s brother Roger was District Governor in 1985-86 and his niece Beth is also a Rotarian.  Jerry has served in several offices, including two separate terms as President (1998-2000 and 2005-06) for the St. Francois County Rotary Club and was honored as Rotarian of The Year 2004-05.  Jerry is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow; his wife, Susan, and son, Josh, are Paul Harris Fellows.  Jerry is currently an Assistant District Governor and was selected to serve on the Show-Me Rotary Council, chairing the Evaluation Committee in 2007-08.

Jerry graduated from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts and is currently a mortgage broker with Allied Home Mortgage, serving as Branch Manager.  He recently became a Referring Travel Agent with Your Travel Biz, an internet travel agency.  Jerry is highly involved with community activities and was honored as the first Ambassador of the Year with the Farmington Chamber of Commerce (2005), where he currently serves as a board member.  He is also past president of United Way of St. Francois County and served four years on the Friends of Scouting Steering Committee.
